Luke 4:18 (NKJV), “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.”
Anointing in The Bible:
Acts 10:38 (NKJV), “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”
Luke 24:49 (NKJV), “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”
Baptism of the Holy Spirit in the Gospels
Matthew 3:11 (NKJV), “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
Mark 1:8 (NKJV), “I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”

Responses/Reflections:
Ask Jesus, “Will You baptize me with the Holy Spirit?”
Say, “I want to be baptized by the Holy Spirit. I need a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit today. Fill me afresh O Lord.”
And now say, “I receive in faith the baptism of the Holy Spirit like I have received salvation, mending of my inner hurts, healing for my body, and freedom from bondages and addictions.”
Join Us In Prayer
Consider someone you may find challenging to pray for with love as Christ loves them. Pray for that person and acknowledge them in your prayer as a child of God. Open your heart to being softened by the compassion of the Holy Spirit." (Philippians 2:5, Matthew 18:1-5)
