PASTORS

David is humbled to be a 3rd generation minister beginning with his grandfather Reverend Hieu van Phan and his father Reverend Winston Doan. He attended and received God's call to the ministry in his teenage years at Lakewood First Vietnamese Assembly of God (which is now Zion Gospel Church). He was ordained as a minister of the Gospel and served as a pastor of Gardena Gospel Church from 2011-2021. In 2019, David joined Zion Church's pastoral team after the passing of Reverend Peter Cao, the church's Founder and David's beloved first pastor. David and his wife, Hanna, have been married since 2001 and have three children: John, Thomas and Jason. David's first job was a delivery boy at the Long Beach Telegram during his high school years. Now, by God's grace, his wish is to keep on delivering God's Good News in the higher calling of God until he sees his Lord, rejoining with all of his Forerunners in heaven.
